Ogilvie racers and fans disappointed when rain halts Saturday night Challenge Series show

OGILVIE, MN (August 15) - After a valiant effort by track and series staff to rush the program through, rains eventually won the night and abruptly ended the annual Structural Buildings WISSOTA Late Model Challenge Series at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN on Saturday night.

Zach Johnson topped qualifying to start the night with a lap of 14.985 seconds, before Dave Mass, Billy Kendall and Jeremy Nelson won the three qualifying heat races. After passing points were calculated, Mass earned the pole and was set to lead the feature to the green flag, but heavy rains came just before the Late Model feature was scheduled to roll onto the speedway, putting an end to the program.
