Adams, Sabraski, Swearingen, Foss and Gullikson get to celebrate in victory lane at The Big O

OGILVIE, MN (August 9) - Fans and families filled the stands Saturday for Kids Night at Ogilvie Raceway, where nearly 100 bikes were awarded to lucky kids during the program.
On the track, WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Blake Adams, Shane Sabraski, David Swearingen, Jim Gullikson and Brady Fosso.
The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds kicked off the night with William Moelter and David Swearingen on row one. Swearingen was the early leader, with Joey Jensen sliding into second.
After a caution reset the drivers, Jensen and Swearingen battled for the lead. Swearingen held the point as he and Jensen separated from the field. The top two kept close, and with five laps to go, Jensen attempted a slide job, but Swearingen shot by. With lapped traffic just ahead and with the white flag waving, Jensen gave it one final shot; he dipped low, and then slid up out of turn two with Swearingen and a lapped car to his bumper. They were nearly three-wide as they shot down the back-chute, and Swearingen had enough to power to the thrilling win. Jensen finished second with Moelter, Brandon Jensen and Ben Lewis in the top five.

Rachel Boston and Layla Chaplin brought the WISSOTA Street Stocks to the green, and following a first-lap caution, Tommy Pogones challenged Chaplin for first and secured the point. Pogones stretched his lead out front while Jim Gullikson moved into second and looked ahead to Pogones. Gullikson closed the gap, and passed Pogones for the lead. A final caution occurred before the race's end, but Gullikson remained in command for the victory ahead of Pogones, Braedyn Fleck, Lucas Boyce and Thomas Worth in the top five.
Blake Adams (Mark Anderson Photo)
Blake Adams and Shane Sabraski kicked off the WISSOTA Modified feature with door-to-door racing and slide jobs from the drop of the green. Adams secured the lead as drivers began to settle into positions. Laps passed quickly, as Adams continued to lead and navigate lapped traffic. Ryan Gierke shifted into third, and then passed Sabraski for second. With a few laps to go, Gierke was at Adams’ bumper. With the white flag in the air, Gierke gave it one last shot as they rounded the final turn, but Adams held his line and took the win. Gierke, Sabraski, Jody Bellefeuille and Jack Rivord were top-five finishers.
Brady Fosso (Mark Anderson Photo)
Tony Jenson was the early leader, and Brady Fosso and Randy Jacoboski raced side by side for second during the opening lap of the WISSOTA Hornet feature. Farther back Bobie Arnes, who started ninth, moved into fourth.
Fosso raced the low groove and made his way alongside Jenson for the lead; Fosso took the spot and Jenson held second as Arnes moved into third. Fosso drove on to the eventual win ahead of Jenson, Jacoboski, Arnes and Nick Ruzich in the top five.
Shane Sabraski (Mark Anderson Photo)
The WISSOTA Super Stocks closed out the night’s program, and after a couple of opening-lap cautions, Sabraski took the lead. Denis Czech grabbed second with Dylan Kromschroeder in third. Joey Jensen challenged Kromschroeder, and together they made it three wide with Czech for second. Czech held the spot, but Jensen and Kromschroeder kept close.
Sabraski’s lead exceeded 3 seconds before the yellow flag appeared, and he immediately sped away as he brought the drivers back to green. Jensen took second and left Czech, Kromschroeder and Ryan Kostreba to fight three wide for third.
Out front Sabraski set the cruise control and took the double checkered flags ahead of Jensen, Czech, Kostreba and Kromschoeder in the top five.
