Peterson, Schulte, Jensen, VandeKamp, Pogones & Penney put their speedy rides into victory lane at The Big O

OGILVIE, MN (June 27) - Ogilvie Raceway held another night of WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action on Saturday. Tyler Peterson, Travis Schulte, Joey Jensen, Jason VandeKamp, Tommy Pogones and Nathan Penney each earned a trip to victory lane at the Big O after the checkered flags fell.

Peterson started the WISSOTA Late Model main event from the outside of the second row. He navigated around Steve Laursen for the lead on lap eight of 25, and held off an onslaught from Shane Sabraski over the final few laps to earn his third win of the season at the speedway. Sabraski was a scant .2 seconds behind at the flagstand, with Kevin Burdick third, Jeff Massingill fourth and Billy Kendall fifth.

Schulte became the seventh different WISSOTA Modified winner in seven races this season. He started on the pole and led every lap for the win; his advantage grew to more than 3 seconds before a late caution. Eric Lamm chased Schulte much of the distance, but settled for second ahead of Sabraski, 12th-starter Jody Bellefeuille and Dave Cain.

Jensen raced to his first win at the oval in 2026 in the WISSOTA Super Stock division. He redrew the front row and raced away to victory. Sabraski worked into second a handful of laps in, but his disadvantage stayed around 2.5 seconds to the checkers. Dylan Kromschroeder, Ryan Kostreba and Max Nelson rounded out the top five.

VandeKamp carved his way from 10th on the grid to win the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. He snared the lead just past the halfway point in the 20-lap race and picked up his first win of the season at the oval. Ben Lewis led laps in the middle of the race, but settled for second ahead of Devin Fouquette, Mitch Weiss and Adam Bohlman.

Pogones led every lap for his second WISSOTA Street Stock win of the season at Ogilvie. Jim Gullikson charged into second late in the going, but could not reel in Pogones at the front. Jeff Ekdahl was third with Braedyn Fleck fourth and Lucas Boyce fifth.

Penney started on the pole of the WISSOTA Hornet feature, but slipped to second initially. He recovered to steal the lead from Adam Throener with about five laps to go, and hung on for win number three on the season. Throener was second ahead of Christian Kast, William Lange and Joey Mastenbrook.
