Berger puts Midwest Mod racers in a pickle on first night of a Big Sky double decker
BILLINGS, MT (June 20) - Mario Berger grabbed a Midwest Modified feature win during night one of a doubleheader at Big Sky Speedway.
Berger put on a dominating performance for the WISSOTA Midwest Modified victory. He started seventh when the green flag waved and picked his way forward into the top spot late in the opening half of the 20-lap race. Once out front, he ran away to an advantage of more than 6 seconds at the checkered flag for his first win of the season at the oval. Nathan Kenaston was second ahead of Vance Lorenz, Rod Lorenz and Troy Cepak, Jr.
Kelly Miller raced to victory in the ASCS Winged Sprint cars, while Chris Williams won without the wing in the Big Sky Sprints.
