Copp claims third straight while Vernon and Chernosky continue winning ways, and Kellar and Owen outrun Thunder City rivals

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO (June 18) - Brandon Copp won his third-straight WISSOTA Modified feature at Thunder City Speedway Wednesday night, highlighting WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action at the Thunder Bay, Ontario oval.

Other winners included Tyler Vernon, Cole Chernosky, A.J. Kellar and Selena Owen.

Copp started seventh on the grid and quickly moved his way forward into third in the early going. With about eight laps left in the feature, Copp drove by polesitter David Simpson and race-long leader Joel Cryderman for the top spot. He then escaped to a more than 3-second advantage in the waning laps to nail down his third win in a row at the track and fourth-straight victory overall. He was followed to the checkered flag by Simpson, Cole Chernosky, Cryderman and Tanner Henderson in the top five.

Chernosky led the WISSOTA Super Stock feature from start to finish to garner the win. Rick Simpson crossed the stripe about 6 seconds back in second, while Nathan Roy completed the podium. Danny Young and ninth-starter John Garrity rounded out the top five.

He was chased to the checkered by Simpson, Kolby Reed, 13th-starter Joel Macleod and 17th-starter Curtis Stieh in the top five.
