Estey, McFadden, Adams, Wahlstrom and Ruzich roll to Proctor Speedway opening-night wins
PROCTOR, MN (May 31) - Proctor Speedway hosted its 2026 season opener Sunday, May 31 under sunny skies but cooler conditions.
Hearty fans in the stands witnessed season-opening WISSOTA Dirt Track Series victories from the likes of Skeeter Estey, Shawn McFadden, Blake Adams, Simon Wahlstrom, and Nick Ruzich.
Estey started from the front row in the WISSOTA Late Model feature and drove the cushion to victory lane, his second win of the weekend. Cade Nelson and Kyle Peterlin traded second place during the 25-lapper, with Nelson coming out on top of Peterlin at the checkered flag. Harry Hanson and Kevin Burdick completed the top five.
In the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, Adams overcame an early jump start to work his way back into contention for the lead by lap three, using a slider on leader Paul Ripley to drive into the top spot. From there, he drove off to the checkered flag. Ripley, Mason Musel, 13th-starter Adam Shinn and Mikey Blevins were top-five finishers.
