Dead Horse Creek racers and fans blast open doors on 2025 and wins go to Edginton, Imrie and Klassen

MORDEN, MANITOBA (May 24) - After a first-night rainout, Dead Horse Creek Speedway was able to open its doors to the 2025 season Saturday, May 24 in Morden, Manitoba with the abbreviated McNaught Cadillac Cup.

Winners in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action included Shane Edginton, Ward Imrie, and Memphis Klassen.

Edginton started on the front row of the WISSOTA Late Model feature, grabbing the advantage over his fellow-front row starter Shane Holden early and leading every lap for the victory. Holden, seventh-starter Tucker Pederson, Joey Pederson and Ryan Kereluk were top-five finishers.

Imrie took the lead from race-long leader Rick Delaine with about three laps to go in the WISSOTA Modifieds - and then fought off a determined Tevin Poluyko in the last two laps to garner the win by a slim .106 seconds. Poluyko was second ahead of Delaine, Danny Staff, and Brenden Luschinski in the top five.
