MONTEVIDEO, MN (May 23) - Racing resumed on Friday night at Fiesta City Speedway after the previous wet and cold weekend that forced the races to be canceled. Three new faces were in victory lane on this night.

Winners in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action included Jordan Tollakson, Brandon Copp, Onyx Johnson, Keith Tourville, Shawn Fernkes, and Jerik Stabler.

Darren Engesser took the lead to begin the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature, before Onyx Johnson got by as Engesser's car fell off the pace. Johnson held the lead for the rest of the race for his first-ever feature win. Ryan Flaten improved four spots to finish second, Tim Kanten was third, eighth-starter Justin Bjorklund was fourth, and Jason Vejtruba completed the top five.

Kolton Brauer took the lead to start the WISSOTA Street Stock feature. With six laps to go, Mike Jans raced past out front as Brauer's car suffered mechanical issues. Keith Tourville took the lead one lap later and held on for his first feature win at Fiesta City Speedway. He was chased to the checkered flag by Jans, Zachary Flickinger, Dustin Schultz, and 11th-starter Cody Hatch.

Zach Schultz was the early leader of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature. Shawn Fernkes took the lead on lap two and pulled away from the rest of the field to win his second-straight feature at Fiesta City Speedway. Schultz had to settle for second ahead of Justin Tammen, Josh Roggatz and Brad Kopecky in the top five.

Jordan Tollakson led the entire WISSOTA Late Model feature for his first win of the year. Zach Johnson was second, Devin Fouquette was third, Matt Gilbertson was fourth and Jon Tollakson rounded out the top five.

Beckler battled with Mark Oftedahl for a couple of laps before regaining the lead on lap six. Mark Oftedahl then took over the top spot from Beckler in his 1971 Ford Torino. When the field came to take the checkered flag, Tom Oftedahl came across the finish line first for the win in his 1958 Ford.

In the track’s Pure Stock class, Colsten Schultz was the early leader. Carter Rice took the lead from Schultz on lap two and kept out front until the final lap. Landon Albertson took the lead as the field came to take the white flag and went on to win his third-straight feature to start the season.
