Jamestown Speedway racers kick down the gates and go racing; Weight and Christ claim the season’s first features

JAMESTOWN, ND (May 22) - Another season of dirt track racing kicked off at Jamestown Speedway, with Brennon Weight and Billie Christ earning the first WISSOTA feature wins of the new year at the Stutsman County quarter-mile.

Weight started in the second row of the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. He scooted to the lead in the opening half of the 20-lap race, and raced away for the victory. Former WISSOTA National Champion Lucas Rodin made a late-race move for second ahead of Arin Beyer, Jarod Klein and Jaren Wibstad in the top five.

Christ also started fourth en route to his WISSOTA Street Stock main event win; he advanced into the top spot after the halfway, and grabbed the checkers first. Cole Greseth finished a close second with Tony Smith, Greg Jose and Kasey Ussatis in the top five.

In other action at the speedway, John Nord topped the IMCA Modifieds, Preston Martin scored the Legends victory, Cade Gentzkow picked up the Bomber win, and Jaeger Mahlin won the JR Slingshot feature.
