George scores first Late Model win at Gillette Thunder Speedway while Leiker locks up another in MidMods and Konst comes from back in Mod Fours

GILLETTE, WY (May 22) - Peyton George delivered Saturday night, May 22 for his first WISSOTA Late Model victory at Gillette Thunder Speedway, while Tony Leiker added another trophy to his 2026 pile in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods. Brett Konst charged through the field from 16th to garner the victory in the WISSOTA Mod Fours to round out WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action at the Gillette, Wyoming oval.

George started from the pole in the Late Model headliner and led flag to flag for the win. Dan Henrickson, Jeremy McCune, Rob Hoffman and Morris Oberle completed the top five.

Leiker took the lead in the Midwest Mod feature with about five laps to go and made his way to victory lane ahead of Justin Elmer, who improved seven spots to finish second. Darin Hauff, Chad Switzenberg and Austin Long top five finishers.

Konst started 16th on the grid, grabbed the lead by lap six, and cruised on to the victory in the Mod Fours. No further official information was available at press time.

Robert Donmyer (IMCA Sport Compacts), Joel Magee (IMCA Hobby Stocks), and Alan Farley (IMCA Modifieds) were also winners in action Saturday.
