Rice Lake voting committee announces 2025 inductees to track’s Hall Of Fame
RICE LAKE, WI (April 8) – The voting committee of the Rice Lake Speedway Hall of Fame met recently to elect members to be inducted into its 2025 class.
Each year since the Hall of Fame was started in 2011, members have been voting in two categories: “Drivers” and “Friends of the Speedway,” which includes car owners, mechanics, track employees, builders, track board members, fans of the speedway, members of the media and others.
This year, the three drivers selected for the Hall are Darwin Brown, Dave Havel and the late Brent Laursen. The Friend of the Speedway selected was Rick Kurshinsky.
The formal induction ceremony for the new inductees will be held on Saturday night, August 16, as a part of the racing program that night. After attending an informal brunch with the owners of the speedway — Kolby and Dean Kiehl and Dick Kalow — as well as the existing members of the HoF in attendance, they will be individually introduced to the crowd and awarded their plaques.

The voting committee thanks everyone who suggested potential new members for the Hall of Fame. All names were added to the potential list of candidates for the next round of voting which will be in March 2026.
