Peterson, Rodin and Brauer begin the season with Devils Lake feature wins
CRARY, ND (April 12) - Two WISSOTA National Champions — and one runner-up — set the tone for the season by knocking off wins in the first WISSOTA event of 2025 held at Devil’s Lake Speedway Saturday night, April 12.
Tyler Peterson, Lucas Rodin, and Kolton Brauer were all victorious in sanctioned action, while Brodee Eckerdt topped the track’s Pure Stock class.
Peterson started inside of row three in the WISSOTA Late Model feature, gaining the lead around lap 12 and holding the top spot for the remainder of the race to notch his first win of the season. Devin Fouquette made his Devils Lake debut with a second-place finish, while Brody Troftgruben completed the podium in third.
In the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, Rodin took the lead from his sixth-starting spot with a handful of laps in the books and drove on to his first victory of 2025. He was followed to the checkered flag by Memphis Klassen, who improved six spots to second at the finish. The 2024 WISSOTA Midwest Mod Rookie of the Year, MaKenna Romuld, completed the podium.

Brauer, who finished runner-up in the national points hunt in 2024 to his brother, Braden, started from the front row and drove on to the eventual victory in the WISSOTA Street Stocks. He was chased across the stripe by Trey Hess and Weston Ramsrud in the top three.
In the Pure Stocks, Eckerdt grabbed the victory ahead of Trentin Decoteau and Allen Charette for the sweep of the night’s action.
