SAUK RAPIDS, MN (September 21) - The 1,000th career victory for Shane Sabraski came during the 5th annual Piston Cup at Granite City Motor Park on Sunday, the same oval on which he scored his first and 500th victory. Blake Adams picked up another pair of wins on Sunday, while Dustin Holtquist, Tommy Pogones and Anthony Jenson were WISSOTA Dirt Track winners as well.
Sabraski moved to the lead early in the Late Model feature, and raced away to the milestone victory. John Kaanta, Jeff Provinzino, Dexton Koch and Joel Collins rounded out the top five.
Dexton Koch and Denis Czech battled door to door for the lead early in the WISSOTA Super Stock main event. Sabraski lurked in third, made his moves at the right time, and passed both for the lead a handful of laps into the race. He ran away from there for victory No. 1,001. Koch was second ahead of Dylan Kromschroeder, Tommy Bawden and Travis Scott.
