Meirhofer doubles down and Strand stakes claim to Late Models on night two at Big Sky Speedway
BILLINGS, MT (September 20) - Dustin Strand made a statement Saturday night at Big Sky Speedway, as the former multi-time WISSOTA National Champion held off the efforts of another former National Champion in Cole Searing to take home top honors in the Late Model class at the “Battle at Big Sky,” as the track’s 2025 season winds down.
Other winners in WISSOTA-sanctioned action included Jeremy Meirhofer, who swept weekend action in the Super Stocks.
Strand started sixth on the grid in the Late Model main event, and raced by Dan Henrikson for the lead around lap five. He held off the charge of ninth-starter and Friday night winner Searing to grab the victory. Searing was just .252 of a second back in the runner-up position, with eighth-starter Jason Strand, 12th-starter Dillon Price, and Henrikson in the top five.

In the waning laps, he drove by race-long leader Casey Steffenson for the lead and took home the victory. Steffenson, ninth-starter Jason Havel, 10th-starter Jon Tribble and Matt Tribble completed the top five.
Ty Olson won the INEX Legends feature for the weekend sweep, while Harrison White was the winner in the Wingless Sprints. Kinzer McCord started ninth and picked his way forward for the victory in the IMCA Modified feature.
