Johnson, Koch, Pogones, Larson, Gruhlke and Jenson race off with the final dirty checkered flags of the season at Princeton, MN

PRINCETON, MN (August 30) - Princeton Speedway hosted the final night of its season championship doubleheader Saturday, with plenty of race action to keep fans entertained to the final checkered flag.

WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners on the night included JT Johnson, Dexton Koch, Tommy Pogones, Tyler Larson, Anthony Jenson and Erik Gruhlke.

Johnson started from the front row of the WISSOTA Modifieds, overcoming polesitter Zach Benson and hanging on for the victory by .705 of a second at the stripe ahead of the No. 17B. Brandon Copp, Dave Cain and Ryan Gierke were top five finishers.

Travis Schulte was crowned 2025 Modified Track Champion.

In the WISSOTA Super Stocks, Koch was the early leader from his front-row starting spot and drove off to a more than 7 second lead at the checkered flag. Dylan Kromschroeder, Ryan Kostreba, point champion Dustin Nelson and Jake Luark completed the top five.

Gruhlke led from flag to flag from his pole starting spot in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, taking the victory ahead of Ryan Putnam, who earned the 2025 track championship. Cole Boston, Dustin Nelson and Chance Koder rounded out the top five.

Pogones worked his way to the front of the WISSOTA Street Stock feature by the midpoint of the race and then grew his advantage to just more than 1 second ahead of seventh-starter Trent Keller at the checkered flag. The victory was the cherry on top for Pogones, who also celebrated the Street Stock track championship. Thomas Worth, Steve Eggersgluess and Jeff Ekdahl completed the top five.

In the WISSOTA Mod Fours, Tyler Larson took the win ahead of his dad, Dean, by more than 3 seconds at the finish. Tyler also earned himself the 2025 Mod Four track championship. Gerrald Nohner was third, Thomas Burgard was fourth and Tommy Pogones completed the top five.

Anthony Jenson drove from fifth on the grid in the WISSOTA Hornets to the lead with about four laps in the books and set sail from there, grabbing the checkered flag by 3 seconds ahead of William Lange, Randy Jacoboski, Austin Jacobson and Hunter Goulet in the top five. Jenson also won the track title.

In the track’s other action, Calvin Saldana topped the Crown Vic race and Caleb Moen won the Micro Sprints feature.
