Princeton players Cain Koch, VandeKamp, Howland, Pogones and Jensen score on first night of doubleheader season-ender
PRINCETON, MN (August 29) - Princeton Speedway wrapped up its regular season with a championship weekend doubleheader on Friday and Saturday. On Friday night, feature winners in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action included Dave Cain, Dexton Koch, Jason VandeKamp, Kyle Howland, Tommy Pogones and Anthony Jenson.
Cain started on the front row of the WISSOTA Modified feature and led the distance for the victory, his first of the season at the oval. Zach Benson finished second ahead of Ryan Gierke, Kyle Kirberger and 11th-starter J.T. Johnson.

Koch started in the second row of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature, but quickly grabbed the lead and ran away to his third victory at the oval this season. Joey Jensen moved into the runner-up position after a handful of laps, but remained over two-seconds behind at the checkers. Point leader Dustin Nelson finished third ahead of Jake Luark and Dylan Kromschroeder.
VandeKamp took the lead around lap five of the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature, but had heavy pressure from Joey Jensen in the last half of the 20-lap race. VandeKamp held on for his fourth win of the season in Princeton with Jensen second, Cole Boston third, Mitch Weiss fourth and Dustin Nelson fifth.

Howland barely held on for the WISSOTA Street Stock win after a late-race slugfest with Rachel Boston. The victory was his second of the season at the oval. Boston finished a scant .086 seconds behind at the stripe with point leader Tommy Pogones third, Jeff Ekdahl fourth and Thomas Worth fifth.
Pogones hopped back in a WISSOTA Mod Four and made his first start of the year in Princeton on Friday; he led flag to flag and scored the win by more than five seconds. Chad Funt made a late pass for second with point leader Tyler Larson third, Garrald Nohner fourth and Thomas Burgard fifth.

Jenson added to his point lead with the WISSOTA Hornet feature win. He topped Randy Jacoboski and Spencer Smith at the finish.
Caleb Moen earned the victory in the Micro Sprints.
