By Ron Krog

FERGUS FALLS, MN (August 29) - The 2025 regular season wrapped up at I-94 emr Speedway on Friday with 112 cars rolling into the pits for Championship Night.

WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Travis Saurer, Dusty Bitzan, Onyx Johnson, Landyn Randt, Kyle Dykhoff and Jeff Rohner.

Starting off in the WISSOTA Street Stocks, it looked like it was going to be a tough go for everybody, as Eric Riley came in with a 44-point lead. The feature started off with Kyle Dykhoff and Jordan Johnson on the front row. Dykhoff took the early lead and held on for the victory. Riley moved into second place followed by Levi Randt and Kolton Brauer. As the laps wound down, Dykhoff held strong to grab the win, with Riley right behind him. Randt, Brauer, and Kegan Stueve completed the top five. Riley was crowned the 2025 track champion.

The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds had the tightest battle of the night with only five points separating the top three. Scott Oeltjen, Haley Dykhoff, and Ron Saurer all had a chance at the title. They ran two features to close out the season.

The opening feature was led to green by Tommy Nichols and Onyx Johnson on the front row. Nichols took the early lead before Johnson regained it. The two swapped the top spot several times as Landyn Randt charged through the field. In the end, Johnson pulled away to pick up the win ahead of 12th-starter Randt, Nichols, Lucas Rodin and 11th-starter Tanner Bitzan.

In the second feature - the King of the Dirt makeup - Nichols and Tyler Bitzan started up front. Bitzan was sharp in the early going, but Corey Storck took the lead away as they battled side by side. Once again, Randt was on the move; he climbed past Storck, then reeled in Bitzan to take the lead with nine laps to go. Randt pulled away for the win and the King of the Dirt crown, while Oeltjen clinched his first-ever track championship.

The WISSOTA Modifieds came in with only one point separating Brady Gerdes and Travis Saurer. Sauer started eighth and tried to work his way forward, but handling issues slowed his charge. Gerdes controlled much of the race until Dusty Bitzan slipped past to take the feature win. Gerdes, Josh Thoennes, Lucas Rodin and Avery Anderson finished in the top five.

Despite finishing second, Gerdes did what he needed to and was crowned the 2025 Modified track champion.

The WISSOTA Late Models had a different story. Travis Saurer entered 24 points behind Dave Mass, but Mass was competing on the Challenge Series tour and wasn’t in attendance. Saurer took full advantage, powering to the front and never looking back. The best battle was for third between Cole Schill and Zach Johnson, but up front Saurer scored the feature win and the 2025 track championship. Josh Zimpel, Johnson, Schill and 11th-starter Danny Vang were top-five finishers.

In the WISSOTA Hornets, Hunter Goulet carried a 47-point advantage into the night, nearly guaranteeing the title. In the feature, Jeff Rohner jumped to the lead and held off Christian Kast and Kevin Wahl to earn the win. Goulet, who finished third, took the 2025 Hornet track championship. Wahl and Wayne Preston were top-five finishers.

The Gen X Late Models closed out the evening. Travis Saurer stole the show, charging to victory. Trevor Walsh earned the 2025 track championship.
