Shackleton storms to first career win while Mars, Anderson, Baxter & Fankhauser are Friday’s best at Red Cedar

MENOMONIE, WI (August 28) - Noah Shackleton grabbed the first feature victory of his career on Friday night at Red Cedar Speedway. Shackleton found his way to victory lane in the Super Stocks, while Sam Mars, Mike Anderson, David Baxter, and Sam Fankhauser also collected WISSOTA Dirt Track Series wins on Friday.

Shackleton started fourth in the WISSOTA Super Stock main event, and grabbed the lead in the opening few laps. Jesse Redetzke assumed second, and kept the pressure on Shackleton to the checkered flags, but could not find a way by. Tommy Richards was third ahead of Thomas Hauert, and Andrew Davis.

Mars started in the second row of the WISSOTA Late Model feature, but had to fend off Ashley Anderson to secure the victory. Brett Shafer finished third with Jake Redetzke fourth and John Kaanta fifth.

Anderson started fifth in the WISSOTA Modified main event, and advanced into the top spot just after the halfway point of the 18-lap race. Blake Adams finished second, and Kennedy Swan - who led much of the opening half - settled for third. Kaden Blaeser and Dylan Goettl rounded out the top five.

Baxter started third on the grid when the 15-lap WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature took the green. He moved to the top spot with a handful of laps scored, then pulled away to the feature win. Blake Adams, who started ninth, made some late-race moves to grab second, with Jake Stai third, Cody Borgeson fourth and Brady Larson fifth.

Fankhauser led from start to finish in the WISSOTA Street Stock main event. Parker Anderson climbed to second by the halfway point, and kept the heat on Fankhauser to the checkers. Hunter VanGilder was third with Cole Richards fourth and Andrew Hanson fifth.

Cooper Sundby earned the win in the USRA Late Model division.
