Red Cedar’s regular five Friday night feature winners are Anderson, Jensen, Crapser, Anderson and Richards
MENOMONIE, WI (August 22) - In a big night of action at Red Cedar Speedway, racers and fans celebrated season championship night and completed two makeup features for the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds and Hornets from the August 8 program.
Winners in makeup action included Derek Haas and Jeff Schmitt, while WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners in regular action included Ashley Anderson, Brandon Jensen, Cory Crapser, Parker Anderson, and Tommy Richards.
In the WISSOTA Late Models, Ashley Anderson led from start to finish and took the checkered flag slightly more than 1 second ahead of A.J. Diemel. Eighth-starter and track champion James Giossi was third, Chad Mahder was fourth and Sam Mars completed the top five.
Tommy Richards (Cody Morgan Photo)
Richards made his way past Terran Spacek with about six laps to go and picked up his first win of the season at the speedway in the WISSOTA Super Stocks. Spacek, Chad Johnson, 13th-starter Brandon Clemens and Kolby Kiehl completed the top five. Jesse Redetzke was crowned the track champ.
Anderson started seventh on the grid in the WISSOTA Street Stocks, and moved by race-long leader Travis Loew with less than a handful of laps left on the board to garner the victory. Danny Richards, Kammron Rose and Ryan Howe completed the top five, while Loew won the track championship.

The WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature conclusion came to an unfortunate end for race-long leader Reece Schlosser, who made contact with a lapped car with the white flag in the air. The caution fell and Schlosser was sent to the back. On the redo, Brandon Jenson drove by Brady Larson and took the win in the two-lap shootout to the finish. Nick Koehler was crowned the track champion.
Crapser, who was in a chase for the title with Shane Halopka, started in the second row of the WISSOTA Modified feature. He made his way into the lead past Mike Anderson with a handful of laps in the books. He drove on to the victory ahead of Anderson, while a hard-charging Kaden Blaeser improved 12 spots to third, Halopka was fourth and Blake Adams was fifth. Halopka won the track championship
Matt Drier won the regular Hornet feature from the front row.
