Sabraski stands in victory lane after Fastlane Super Stock Series stop at Thunder City Speedway and Shalley scores first feature win in MidMods

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO (August 6) - Thunder City Speedway hosted Fort Gary Industries and the Fastlane Northland Super Stock Series Wednesday night. When the final checkered flag flew, WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Cole Chernosky, Michael Shalley, Shane Sabraski, Parker Anderson and Spencer Smith.

Chernosky led from the front row at the start of the WISSOTA Modified feature and never looked back, taking the victory about 1 second ahead of Brandon Copp. Scott McKinnon, Riley Matthews and Curtis Stieh completed the top five.

In the WISSOTA Super Stocks, Sabraski started inside the third row, making his way to second around lap 13 of 30. He was able to drive past race-long leader Jordan Henkemeyer to score the victory with just a few laps to go. Henkemeyer held on for second just ahead of Alex Myers, while Curt Myers charged through the field from 20th to come home fourth. Twelfth-starter D.J. Keeler improved seven spots to fifth.

Michael Shalley started from outside of the front row in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature, battling a couple laps for the lead with polesitter Rob Groom. From there he drove into the top spot and then held command for the remainder of the 18-lap duration. David Simpson, Matthew Mitchell, Dan Tocheri and 10th-starter Tanner Ulakovic finished in the top five.

Anderson started from the pole and scored the win in the WISSOTA Street Stocks. He was chased to the checkered flag by Kyle Bolt, Trey Hess, Nathan Henny and A.J. Kellar in the top five.

Smith started in the second row of the WISSOTA Hornet feature and led just one lap — the one that counts. He took the victory ahead of Selena Owen, Jesse Owen, Kristina Moro and Rick Breukelman in the top five.
