Friday’s Fiesta City Speedway features go to a couple of Johnsons, Scott, Long and VanDerostyne

MONTEVIDEO, MN (August 8) - A total of 81 cars were in the pits at Fiesta City Speedway Friday, as the season at the Montevideo, Minnesota track starts to wind down.

WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included father-son duo Zach and Onyx Johnson, Travis Scott, Josh Long, and Adam VanDerostyne.

Justin Bjorklund took the lead to start the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. Onyx Johnson drove by Bjorklund during lap seven, and then held off Shane DeJong in the final laps to win his second feature of the season at the speedway. Bjorklund, ninth-starter Jett Lindgren and Scott Tofte completed the top five.

Josh Long led the WISSOTA Street Stock feature from flag to flag, as he held off Dustin Schultz and Justin Vogel to get his first feature win at Fiesta City Speedway. Tenth-starter Coltyn Schuler improved six spots to fourth, while ninth-starter Kolton Brauer rounded out the top five.

Karter Reents took the lead to begin the WISSOTA Super Stock feature. Travis Scott took over out front with two laps to go for his second win of the year. Reents, Justin Tammen, Shawn Fernkes and Brayden Hedtke were top-five finishers.

Zach Johnson passed Corey Nelson on lap two of the WISSOTA Late Model feature, and led the rest of the way for his fourth win of the season. Eighth-starter Jordan Tollakson worked his way into second, Matt Gilbertson was third, Jon Tollakson was fourth and Nelson completed the top five.

Travis Bruns was the early leader of the WISSOTA Hornet feature. Adam VanDerostyne took the lead from Bruns with five laps to go and held on for his first win of the year. Jerik Stabler, Bradley Rossow and Brandon Downs finished in the top five.

Colsten Schultz led the entire Pure Stock feature for his second win of the year.
