Skorczewski, Brotherton, Nelson, Johnson and Bogh bring the heat against Miller Central Speedway rivals

MILLER, SD (August 8) - Trevor Nelson moved to a perfect eight-for-eight in Super Stock competition at Miller Central Speedway after Friday’s WISSOTA Dirt Track Series program. Josh Skorczewski, Adam Brotherton, Lorin Johnson and Jayden Bogh also posted wins at the big Central South Dakota oval.

Nelson, who moved within two markers of the point lead despite missing an event, started the 15-lap WISSOTA Super Stock feature on the outside of the third row. He slid into the lead around the halfway point, and quickly left the field in his dust - his margin of victory over Stewart Schipke was 6.3 seconds. Kenneth Clements was third with Wyatt Schweigert fourth and Austin Arbogast fifth.

Skorczewski led every lap for the victory in the WISSOTA Late Models, his third of the season at the speedway. He had a nearly 4.5 second lead over Chase Gelling at the checkers. Mike Stearns rounded out the podium, while Dustin Arthur and David Carlson were the remaining top five finishers.

Adam Brotherton moved to the lead around the midway point of the WISSOTA Modified feature, and the division rookie dominated the final half of the contest for his second win at the oval this season. Tyler Gefroh finished second ahead of Dylan Zabel, Dave Brooker and Andy Brooker.

Lorin Johnson earned his first feature win since 2023 in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds. “The Dirt Doctor” - among the all-time greats in South Dakota history - earned the feature win over Dawson Zabel, Cory Berquist, Cody Daly and Britt Williams.

Ryan Baumgart scored the Pure Stock feature win.
