Leiker flips the script on his brother at Gillette and is joined in victory lane Saturday by Jensen

GILLETTE, WY (July 19) - Tony Leiker got revenge on his brother Troy Saturday night at Gillette Thunder Speedway, as the duo flip-flopped results from the previous night at Black Hills Speedway Friday. Tony took the big money in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds Border Clash special this time around at the Wyoming speedplant, while Clint Jensen was also a winner in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action.

Tony Leiker started fifth on the grid of the Midwest Mod feature, gaining the lead by lap 14 and finishing nearly 1 second ahead of second-place runner Jake Bosch. Bosch was later DQ’d, elevating eighth-starter Troy Leiker to second. Mario Berger, Justin Elmer and Danny Allen were top-five finishers.

Jensen took the lead during lap two of the WISSOTA Mod Four feature and grew his lead to more than 5 seconds at the finish ahead of sixth-starter Dean Larson. Tristan Torres, Rob Arlaud, and David Brown finished in the official top five after the tech shed.

In the track’s other action, Kinzer McCord (IMCA Mods), John Garrigan, Jr. (IMCA Hobby stocks), and Steven Reile (Mini Bombers) were victorious in action.
