Adams earns 100th and 101st career feature wins on night one at Dead Horse Creek

MORDEN, MANITOBA (July 17) - Blake Adams notched his 100th and 101st victory of his young career with a double-win night at Dead Horse Creek Speedway Friday night. The track hosted its Haulmaster Hustle two-day special and in addition to the Midwest Mods and Modifieds, the WISSOTA Late Models were also part of the program, with Shane Edginton returning to victory lane at the Morden, Manitoba-area race track.

In the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature, Adams started sixth and moved into second by lap three. The following lap Adams took the lead and kept out front for the remaining 16 laps to garner the victory by 1.242 seconds ahead of Jamie Davis in second. Memphis Klassen, Bailey Cousins and 12th-starter Dylan McCaughan completed the top five.

Adams started from the front row in the WISSOTA Modifieds and that was bad news for the rest of the field, as he led from start to finish in that feature. Eighth-starter Tanner Williamson climbed to second at the finish, while polesitter Rick Delaine slipped back to third at the checkered flag. Brenden Luschinski and Brandon Rehill rounded out the top five.

After a nasty rollover at Dead Horse Creek during the previous weekend of action here, Edginton was back in a borrowed WISSOTA Late Model ride for the weekend. He started fifth on the grid in the 25-lap feature and patiently worked forward to second with five to go, and took the lead from polesitter Brody Troftgruben two laps later to net the comeback triumph. Troftgruben, Dustin Strand, Travis Robertson and Scott Greer completed the top five.

In the Dead Horse Stocks, James Wall started from the front row and drove home to victory lane, while Nick Audette did the same in the Super Trucks. Khloe Staff was the winner in the Junior Slingshots.
