Estey earns fourth win, Fosso gets his third and Ripley also scores Saturday at Hibbing Speedway

HIBBING, MN (July 18) - The Late Models and Hornets competed for an increased top prize at Hibbing Speedway on Saturday. Skeeter Estey and Brady Fosso split the headlining events, while Paul Ripley was also a WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winner at the oval.

Estey started seventh en route to his fourth WISSOTA Late Model win of the season in Hibbing. He started in the fourth row, but was into the runner-up spot just a few laps into the race. He made his move for the lead on lap seven, and raced away over the rest of the 30-lap distance for the $3,000 top prize. He took the checkers with a 4 second advantage over second-place Keith Niemi, with Johnny Broking third, Jayne Lautigar fourth and Taylor Madrinich fourth.

Fosso topped the 30-lap WISSOTA Hornet main event, his third victory in the division in Hibbing this season. He started fourth on the grid, but was able to make his way to the point of the marathon Hornet race. When the checkers flew, Fosso grabbed the win ahead of Nick Ruzich, McKenna Folstad, Ryker Larson and Astion Schelde.

Ripley started ninth on the grid in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature and carved his way into the top spot by lap seven. Keith Koski kept the leader within his sights for much of the remaining distance, but finished about a half second back at the checkers. Eric Anderson was third with Chad VanDuker fourth and Matthew Anderson fifth.

Hunter Morris topped the Crown Vic main event.
