CRARY, ND (July 12) - The weather was perfect and the racing was hot at Devils Lake Speedway Saturday night.
WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Cylen Vargason, Tucker Pederson and Shane Swenson.
In the WISSOTA Street Stocks, Swenson went on a Saturday night cruise all the way to victory lane. Seth Klostreich, Stoney Kruk, Drew Peterson and Greg Jose were top-five finishers.
Vargason held off the wolves in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, with Jory Berg hot on his tail. Vargason came home victorious and Berg had to settle for second. Jaden Varnson finished third, while Randy Thompson was fourth. Matt Schow completed the top five.

The WISSOTA Late Model feature was a barn burner from start to finish. Tucker Pederson took an early lead, but it wasn’t long before Dustin Strand showed his nose. The two East Grand Forks drivers duked it out lap after lap with slide jobs and crossovers. As they kept fans in the stands on the edge of their seats, Brody Troftgruben made his presence known to Strand and Pederson, when an untimely caution flag came out, resetting the field.
Pederson drove on to the win back under green, with Strand finishing second and Troftgruben finishing third. Rookie Kelsi Pederson held on for a fourth-place finish ahead of Travis Robertson in fifth.
Joe Armstrong drove to the track’s Pure Stock class victory Saturday, starting from the front row and taking the checkered ahead of Waylon Poitra, Allen Charette, Jr., Rylan Swenson and Trentin Decoteau in the top five.
