Sabraski smacks down a Super field at Hibbing as Northland Series goes green for 2026

HIBBING, MN (July 10) - The Fast Lane Motorsports Northland Super Stock Series kicked off at Hibbing Speedway on Friday night. An amazing field of 82 Super Stocks checked in for the Tardy Memorial.

Shane Sabraski stood above the crowd once again with the headlining win, in addition to the evening’s Modified victory as well. Andy Davey and Trenton Beel also scored WISSOTA Dirt Track Series wins.

Sabraski started on the inside of the second row in the 30-lap Super Stock main event. He slipped to the lead in the opening laps, while Cole Chernosky gave chase in second. Chernosky stayed within striking distance of the leader for much of the distance, but gave up the runner-up position to 16th-starter Dylan Nelson with a few laps to go. Chernosky settled for third ahead of Dexton Koch and Don Livingston.

Sabraski started in the second row of the WISSOTA Modified feature as well, and grabbed the lead just a few circuits in. Jody Bellefeuille moved to second around the midway point, but could not get past Sabraski for the win. Nick Oreskovich was third with Cole Spacek fourth and Bob Broking fifth.

Davey topped Joey Jensen in a close battle for the WISSOTA Midwest Modified win. Davey reclaimed the lead from Jensen around the halfway point and slipped away in the closing laps for the win. Paul Ripley was third ahead of Sam Blevins and Austin McClellan.

Brady Fosso appeared to cap his run from 10th with a late-race pass for the win in the WISSOTA Hornet feature, but a post-race disqualification erased his victory. Beel, who led the middle stages of the race, was elevated to the win with Ryker Larson, Mikayla LaBarge, Nathan Penney, and McKenna Folstad in the top five.
