Sward and Olson outrun WISSOTA rivals on “Never Alone” Night at Norman County Raceway

ADA, MN (July 9) - Norman County Raceway hosted “Never Alone” night Thursday, July 9. Never Alone was established in 2024 and its mission is to inspire hope, promote mental wellness and make a lasting impact on lives by gathering in the shop to work together on Hornet race cars, with the opportunity for members to drive.

Also on the card were the WISSOTA Modifieds and Midwest Mods, where winners included Bryce Sward in the Mods and Justin Olson in the Midwest Mods.

Sward started from the front row of the Modifieds and took the lead early on. He prevailed at the checkered flag ahead of Tyler Peterson. Joseph Thomas, Bryce Borgen and Dylan Zabel completed the top five.

In the Midwest Modifieds, Olson took the lead around lap three and hung on for the win by .214 seconds ahead of Aaron Blacklance, who settled for runner-up honors. Kenna Breidenbach, Jory Berg and Nick Seitz rounded out the top five.

In the track’s other action, Kyle VanMil topped the IMCA Northern Sport Mod class, while Kalvin Kesselberg won in the IMCA Stock Cars. Joseph Lewis was victorious in the INEX Legend feature, while Tim Otterness was the winner in the IMCA Hobby Stocks. Lincoln Miller won the Hornet feature in a Never Alone No. 988 car.
