By Jackson Braun
HIBBING, MN (June 24) - Blake Adams made headlines during the first Tuesday night tango of the 2025 season at Hibbing Speedway June 24, claiming a pair of feature wins in the WISSOTA Modified and Midwest Modified divisions.
Other WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Tommy Pogones, Dalton Carlson, and Bobie Arnes.
The night began with the 10-car WISSOTA Super Stock feature, where Dalton Carlson claimed his first Hibbing win of 2025 in a dominant eighth-to-first performance.
Doug Koski led the first lap but slowed entering turn one, losing a driveshaft in the process. Trevor Arens inherited the lead until Carlson piloted around him by lap seven. Arens catfished around the bottom of the speedway in second place for much of the remainder of the race. Austin Blom claimed second during laps 19-20 of the contest, but was disqualified in post-race technical inspection. Carlson took the checkered flag, with Arens officially awarded second place. Mikey Vajdl completed the podium.

A strong field of 28 WISSOTA Midwest Mods was on hand, led early on by Matt Cunha. Fifth-starter Blake Adams was quick to take command of the field, doing so by lap four. Canadian Garrett Paull also made his way through the field early from seventh at the start, into second by lap five. Paull battled it out with the likes of Cunha, Michael Blevins, Sr. and Mikey Blevins for the majority of the race, but had settled into second by the checkered flag. Blevins, Sr. was third.
The WISSOTA Street Stocks returned to Hibbing Speedway for the first time in 20-plus years Tuesday night. The 15-lap contest was led green-to-checkered by Tommy Pogones, who finished a whopping six seconds ahead of Grand Forks, North Dakota's Trey Hess. Hess, who was sent to the tail early on in the race due to contact causing a caution, recovered for the runner-up honors. Kolton Brauer was third.

Jeffrey Wood was the early leader in the WISSOTA Modified feature, as a bit farther back Blake Adams made his way to the front. Adams took the top spot on lap five, and it was smooth sailing in the cowboy-up conditions for the remainder of the 20-lapper. Adams took the victory ahead of Wood and track points leader Tyler Kintner.

The WISSOTA Hornets were led by Russell Kiker, Jr. for the first lap, but he ended up looping it in turn one. Hometown driver Brady Fosso inherited the lead from there, and a tough battle ensued with WISSOTA national points leader Bobie Arnes. Fosso and Arnes traded the lead a few times ahead of McKenna Folstad and Jada Lore, with an elated Arnes crossing under the checkered flag with the victory. Fosso and Folstad completed the podium.
