Fans pack the stands to see Davis, Ferguson and Torres top Black Hills Speedway’s Friday night features

RAPID CITY, SD (June 5) - Friday night was Pack the Stands night at Black Hills Speedway, with donations going to the Humane Society of the Black Hills. On track drivers put on a heck of a show for those fans on hand, with WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners including Brennan Davis, Leonard Ferguson and Tristan Torres.

Davis started from the pole en route to his victory in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, the first win of the 2026 season for the Piedmont, South Dakota driver. Rex Conrad, Paul Parks, Joel Morris and Chris Larsen completed the top five.

Ferguson nailed down his third victory of the season in the WISSOTA Street Stocks. He drove by early leader Jaren Puhlman and held on to the checkered flag by .397 seconds. Puhlman, Troy Murner, Kyle Hanson and John Garrigan, Jr. completed the top five.

Torres charged from seventh on the starting grid to capture the win in the WISSOTA Mod Fours. At the stripe, his advantage was nearly 1 second ahead of Kyle Hardesty. Ninth-starter Urijah Welch improved six spots to third, Rob Arlaud was fourth and Adam Neumiller was fifth.

In the track’s IMCA-sanctioned action, Eric Mass was the winner again in Modified action, while Joel Magee topped the Hobby Stocks. Logan Hershey won in the Sprint class.
