Estey, Kintner and Fosso win features while VanHouse doubles up at Hibbing Speedway on Saturday
HIBBING, MN (June 6) - Deven VanHouse’s Saturday was twice as nice at Hibbing Speedway after he topped both the Modified and Midwest Modified features at the oval. Skeeter Estey, Tyler Kintner and Brady Fosso also pocketed WISSOTA Dirt Track Series wins after the final checkered flags flew in Hibbing.
VanHouse first scored the victory in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified ranks. He started in the second row and stole the lead from Eric Anderson just before the crossed flags for his first win of the season at the oval. Austin McClellan was second ahead of Anderson, Sam Blevins and Michael Blevins, Sr.
In the WISSOTA Modifieds, VanHouse again started in the second row and took the lead near the halfway mark of the race. He drove on for victory ahead of Mervin Castle III, Jeffrey Wood, Riley Matthews and Chris Magistad.
Estey grabbed his second win of the season at Hibbing in the WISSOTA Late Model ranks, and third straight overall. He turned a pole-position redraw into a margin of victory of over 4.5 seconds ahead of second place Derek Vesel. Zach Wohlers climbed from seventh to third with Jeff Massingill fourth and Ben Heinle fifth.
Kintner started on the front row of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature and led every lap, although it was not a runaway. Dalton Carlson moved to second in the late stages for a runner-up finish ahead of Jordan Henkemeyer, Tristan LaBarge and Chaston Finckbone.
Fosso charged from eighth on the grid to win the WISSOTA Hornet main event. He outran Nick Ruzich, McKenna Folstad, Jacob Petrich and Mikayla LaBarge for the win.
Michael Blevins, Sr. scored the Crown Vic win.
