GRAND FORKS, ND (June 26) - The WISSOTA Midwest Mod and Street Stock divisions were on hand for World of Outlaws Late Model night at River Cities Speedway last Friday night, racing among one of the bigger crowds each division will see during the 2026 season.
A total of 29 Midwest Mods and 23 Street Stocks entered the event. WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Memphis Klassen and Cole Greseth.
Brandon Bahr and Klassen made up the front row at the start of the 20-lap WISSOTA Midwest Mod feature. The initial start was erased by a caution, but Brandon Bahr led the opening lap on the second try to get the race underway. Klassen used the high side of turns three and four to move around Bahr to take the top spot at the conclusion of the second lap.
The pair remained side-by-side until the second caution on lap three. Klassen restarted the race as the leader, as Bahr continued to make it a door-to-door fight with Klassen in the corners for the top spot; Reise Stenberg and Brennan Schmidt did the same for third.
Stenberg made the same move on lap seven that helped Klassen garner the lead, using the high side of three and four to move past Bahr into the runner-up spot. Klassen led past the midway point as the top two pulled away from the rest of the field until another caution on the 14th lap.
Third-place running Bahr had a flat left-rear tire. Brennan Schmidt moved into third on the ensuing restart as the top three remained the same, despite one final caution on the first attempt at a green-white-checkered conclusion.
Klassen held off Stenberg and Schmidt to pick up his first career victory at the bullring, and Aaron Blacklance and Austin Hunter completed the top five. Klassen became the third Canadian first-time winner in the division, joining Frank Veert and Dylan McCaughan on that list in 2026.
Cole Greseth (Steven Young Photo)
Cole Greseth and John Halvorson paced the field at the beginning of the 20-lap WISSOTA Street Stock feature. Winner of three of four features in the division in 2026 so far, Greseth took the lead when the green flag dropped and brought Jeremy Gust with him into second.
Greseth continued to lead following cautions on the third and fifth laps, but continued to lead as Doug VanMill made his way up from fourth to second as sprinkles started to fall over the speedway.
During this time, South Dakota racer Kyle Bertram had moved into the top three as Greseth pulled away from the rest of the field. Following further yellows on the eighth and 12th laps, Bertram and Greg Jose took second and third as Greseth continued to master every restart.
Bertram's night came to an end during the final caution which moved Levi Randt into a podium position, taking over Bertram’s spot in the door-to-door battle with Jose for second. Randt took second coming to the five-to-go signal, setting up a battle for the top two in the national points race and the evening’s feature win.
Greseth pulled away in the final laps to pick up his fourth bullring victory of the season ahead of Randt, Jose, Trey Hess, and Adam Dehne. Greseth joined the previously mentioned Doug VanMill as 15-time winners at the speedway, which is tied for sixth on the all-time wins list.
In the World of Outlaws feature, Bobby Pierce remained untouchable as he won his third straight victory of the series’ visit to Minnesota and North Dakota.
