Estey remains unbeaten in Late Models as Broking, Carlson, Blevins & Ruzich also roll at Hibbing

HIBBING, MN (June 20) - Skeeter Estey remained unbeaten in Late Model action at Hibbing Speedway this season, with his third-consecutive win in WISSOTA Dirt Track Series competition. Bob Broking, Dalton Carlson, Michael Blevins, Sr., and Nick Ruzich also captured victory at the Iron Range oval.

Estey started the WISSOTA Late Model main event in fourth, and chased race-leader Derek Vesel for much of the distance. Estey made his move on lap 18 of 20 and captured another victory at the Hibbing race track. Vesel settled for second ahead of Ben Heinle, Rick Niemi, and T.J. Heinle.

Broking became the third different winner in WISSOTA Modified action. He also started fourth on the grid, but quickly made his way into the top spot and ran away for the feature win. Jeffrey Wood finished as runner-up, more than 5 seconds behind the winner. Chris Magistad, Jeff Wood, and Mervin Castle III rounded out the top five.

Carlson started on the pole of the WISSOTA Super Stock feature, but slipped to second behind Andy LaBarge in the opening laps. Carlson made the pass on LaBarge on lap four, and raced to victory by more than 2.5 seconds. The victory was his second of the season at the oval. Andy LaBarge was second ahead of Tristan LaBarge, Mikey Vajdl and Trevor Arens.

The patriarch of the Blevins family led an all-Blevins podium to the checkers. The elder Blevins led every lap for the win ahead of sons Mikey and Sam in the top three. Austin McClellan and Keith Koski trailed the family gathering across the line.

Ruzich got his first win this season in Hibbing in the WISSOTA Hornet division; he started ninth and carved his way to the win. Mikalya LaBarge, Brady Fosso, McKenna Folstad and Jacob Petrich rounded out the top five.

Blevins, Sr. also raced to the Crown Vic win on Saturday.
