Saurer, Riley, Bitzan and Rohner rack up Viking wins Saturday at Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, MN (May 30) - Trevor Saurer won his first main event of the season at Viking Speedway in thrilling fashion on Saturday night. Eric Riley, Taylor Bitzan and Jeff Rohner each picked themselves up a WISSOTA Dirt Track Series feature win as well at the big half-mile.

Saurer won a race-long, back-and-forth duel with Travis Scott for top honors in the WISSOTA Super Stock main event. Saurer regained the lead in the final laps and nipped Scott at the finish line by .122 seconds. Karter Reents was third ahead of Ryan Satter and William Lund.

Taylor Bitzan grabbed the victory in the WISSOTA Midwest Mod feature race. He started fourth on the grid and snagged the lead from Josh Muzik just after the halfway mark of the race. It was his first win of the season in Alexandria. Travis Engebretson was third, with Shawn Olson fourth and Tyler Bitzan fifth.

Riley led from flag to flag for his second feature win of the year at Viking Speedway in the WISSOTA Street Stocks. Kyle Dykhoff sliced his way from seventh to second, but could not track down Riley. Justin Vogel, Mark Blom and J.J. Nieuwbeerta rounded out the top five.

Rohner started on the pole and dominated the WISSOTA Hornet main event, his second win of the season at the oval. Chase Golliet was second ahead of Eli Green and Karter Kunz.

Dusty Bitzan powered to the feature win in the USRA Northern Lights Modified Series. Justin Froemming, Brady Gerdes, Joseph Thomas and Bryce Sward rounded out the all-WISSOTA top five.
