On a rare Thursday night at Proctor Speedway, Peterlin, Copp, Adams and Kiker claim checkered flags
PROCTOR, MN (June 12) - Proctor Speedway hosted a rare night of Thursday night WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action June 12. Following the cancellation of the Northern Storm tour, the track decided to continue on with its original intention of hosting the WISSOTA Modifieds, Late Models, Midwest Mods and Hornets.
Those winners making their way to victory lane by the night’s end included Blake Adams, Kyle Peterlin, Brandon Copp, and Russell Kiker, Jr.
In the WISSOTA Late Models, Peterlin scored his second win in a row at the speedway. Starting from the pole of the 18-car field, he set out to an advantage from the get-go. Danny Vang was solid in second, ahead of ninth-starter Kevin Burdick, who charged to third. Devin Fouquette and Jeff Massingill completed the top five.
Copp topped the WISSOTA Modified field from his pole starting spot, taking the checkered flag ahead of fifth-starter Jody Bellefeuille. Tanner Gehl, Blake Adams and Cody Carlson were top-five finishers behind the lead duo.

In the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, Adams started from the front row, taking the lead early on. Farther back Tyler Vernon was on the move from sixth, and by the halfway point of the race he moved to second. Paul Ripley, who started fifth, moved into third and it was a three-car battle for the top spot.
Surviving a late-race incident, Adams collected the win, holding off Ripley for the victory. Cole Boston, who started 12th in the field, picked his way forward to third, Eric Anderson was fourth, and Jimmy Latvala rounded out the top five.
