Myers, Jensen & Kummer cash winners’ paychecks after fan-pleasing Friday night features at Red Cedar
MENOMONIE, WI (June 12) - Red Cedar Speedway hosted Heroes Night Friday, June 12. Police, fire, EMS and first responders were honored with free entry to the program, and on the track, racing heroes put on an exciting night of racing for fans, featuring multiple side-by-side battles throughout the field.
WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Alex Myers, Brandon Jensen, and Cody Kummer.
Myers and Scott Geiger led the field to green in the WISSOTA Super Stocks. Myers set off immediately into a healthy advantage, as Avery Anderson slipped by into second. Andrew Davis was third, Geiger was fourth and Leslie Leu completed the early top five. Tate Anderson cracked the top five one lap later, relegating Leu to sixth.
Myers continued to dominate out front ahead of Avery Anderson, Davis, and Geiger, as Leu regained fifth from Tate Anderson.
Avery Anderson suffered heartbreak with just two laps to go, pulling into the infield with mechanical failure.
There was no touching Myers, as he took the victory by nearly 4 seconds ahead of Davis, Geiger, Leu and Tate Anderson in the top five.

Jensen and Matt Klukas led the field of WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds to the green, with Jensen getting the early lead. Klukas battled side by side for second with Mark Thomas, while Travis Anderson and Justen Seipel did the same for fourth. A caution for Brady Larson reset the field.
Jensen led the field back to green, as Thomas dispatched Klukas briefly for second, before Klukas regained the spot about a lap later. Seipel and Anderson remained side by side for fourth. Behind them, Shadow Kitchner was on the charge from his eighth starting spot. Seipel had a run-in with the wall in turns one and two and slipped back through the field.
Jensen’s advantage was more than 3 seconds with six laps to go, with Klukas trying to work his way through lapped traffic. Kitchner moved into third, Anderson was fourth, Jesse Bryan appeared in the top five, and Thomas recovered in sixth after struggling with lapped traffic.
Jensen had heavy lapped traffic ahead of him with three laps to go, but escaped without incident and took the checkered flag ahead of Kitchner, Klukas, Travis Anderson and Bryan.

In the WISSOTA Street Stocks, Cody Kummer and Levi Randt led the field to the green, with Kummer having the advantage by a slim margin. Randt fought back and took the lead the following lap, with Cole Richards right on their bumper in third. It was another three-car battle behind them for fourth, among Layla Chaplin, Sam Fankhauser and Kammron Rose; Chaplin took fourth, with Fankhauser to her inside in fifth.
Kummer regained the lead and left Randt to deal with Richards before a caution for Alaina Chaplin regrouped the field.
Kummer shook back out into the lead under green, with Randt challenging from the top side. Richards pulled away from Fankhauser into third, with Fankhauser fourth and Rose fifth. One lap later Rose supplanted Fankhauser for fourth.
Kummer continued on to the checkered flag, with Randt second. Richards was third, Rose was fourth and Fankhauser won the side-by-side battle with Chaplin for fifth.
In the track’s Hornet feature, Jody Halterman topped the field from the fifth starting spot.
