Myers tops Super Stock Series stop at Red Cedar; other Friday winners include Glen, Blaeser and Vernon

MENOMONIE, WI (June 6) - The Fastlane Motorsports Northland WISSOTA Super Stock Series rolled into Red Cedar Speedway Friday, June 6, with a full field of Super Stock heavy hitters on hand for the action. It was also the Dave Shackleton Memorial, honoring the longtime area racer who passed away in 2020.

Curt Myers topped the headlining Super Stock feature, while other WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Jesse Glenz, Tyler Vernon, and Kaden Blaeser.

Following an entertaining side-by-side battle for the lead between Tommy Richards and Alex Myers early in the Super Stock feature, Myers assumed the lead following the first caution for debris. The fight for top honors continued through another caution, this time for a stack up of the back of the field.

Myers had a slim lead with five laps in the books, with Richards, Dexton Koch, Jesse Redetzke and Avery Anderson in the top five. A caution for an Alan Lessard spin regrouped the field.

Following the restart, Koch used the high side to make his way past Myers, and the duo traded the lead back and forth a few times over the next two laps, joined closely by 15th-starter Terran Spacek right on their heels.

Koch controlled the field once again with 12 laps in the books, with the top three in close formation for several laps. Curt Myers, who started 11th on the grid, cracked the top five by lap 13.

Spacek took over out front with 12 laps to go, as Koch settled in behind him in second. One lap later Curt drove by his son Alex to third. Alex Myers and Richards then came together and the caution fell.

Following two more caution/restart periods, Curt Myers was able to scoot past Spacek for the top spot, held strong in a back-and-forth battle for the lead with Spacek, and then drove on to the eventual victory. Spacek, who was in a side-by-side battle with Koch in the last few laps of the feature, was able to close back in on Myers briefly, but settled for second ahead of Koch. Richards and 27th-starter James Trantina completed the top five.

Jesse Glenz (Ace Media)

In the WISSOTA Late Models, Glenz started from the pole and led every lap en route to the win, his first of the 2025 season. Multi-time winner James Giossi crossed the stripe second, Sam Mars was third, eighth-starter Ashley Anderson improved four spots to fourth, and Chad Mahder completed the top five.

Mark Hanson was the early leader in the WISSOTA Modified feature, as Blaeser and Mike Anderson battled for second. Blaeser secured second, and then took off after Hanson. Using a slider on Hanson with six laps scored, he took the lead and drove off to a near 5-second lead through lapped traffic at the finish. Mike Anderson was second, while Blake Adams was third at the line ahead of Shane Halopka. Jake Hartung was fifth.

Tyler Vernon (Ace Media)

In the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, Vernon continued his early-season assault on the division, taking home his sixth victory overall for the 2025 season. He led from flag to flag for the win ahead of Blake Adams, who supplanted William Moelter for second late in the race. Brady Larson and 23rd-starter Brandon Jensen rounded out the top five.
