By Tami Jo Kuehn
PRINCETON, MN (June 6) - Racers, fans and families flocked to Princeton Speedway Friday, June 6 for WISSOTA Dirt Track Series action.
At the night’s end, Dylan Kromschroeder, Tyler Larson, Russell Kiker, Jr., and Jason VandeKamp were victorious, and Adam Bohlman and Thomas Worth earned their first-ever WISSOTA feature wins.
The WISSOTA Street Stocks were led to green by Kyle Howland and Trent Keller. A caution slowed the cars right from the start, and when the race resumed Howland snagged the lead. Thomas Worth slid into second and quickly chased down Howland. Farther back Tommy Pogones drove from eighth to third, and looked ahead at the leaders who were door to door for first. Worth and Howland were glued to one another for a few laps until Worth sped away with the lead.
The checkered flags waved over Worth as he drove to his first-ever victory, with Howland, Pogones, Rachel Boston, and Keller in the top five.

Dylan Kromschroeder was the early leader in the WISSOTA Super Stock feature and following a couple cautions, Dustin Nelson took second while Joey Jensen and Max Nelson battled for third. Jensen took third and chased down Dustin Nelson, as Kromschroeder stretched his lead to more than 2.5 seconds. Jensen slid to the inside of Nelson and they were nose to nose for a few laps until Jensen broke away with second.
Out front Kromschroeder had a healthy lead and took the win ahead of Jensen, Dustin Nelson, Max Nelson and Cameron Labelle in the top five.
Tyler Larson (Mark Anderson Photo)
Thomas Burgard and Ashton Schwinn brought the WISSOTA Mod Fours around the bullring and when the green waved, Schwinn was the early leader. Burgard, Blake Hawker and Tyler Larson raced three-wide for second, while another group of three battled for position right behind.
Schwinn continued to stretch his lead to more than 2 seconds, until a caution waved and the drivers slowed. Schwinn retained his lead on the restart, with everyone else door to door for position. Cautions kept the Mod Fours at a slow-and-go pace, but the final laps were filled with excitement as Larson and Schwinn were side by side for the lead. Schwinn nosed out into the lead each lap, but as they came to the checkered flag, Schwinn’s No. 18 spun in the exit of turn four, and Larson sped off for the win. Connor Bruss, Robert Holtquist, Gerald Nohner and Hawker rounded out the top five.
Adam Bohlman (Mark Anderson Photo)
The WISSOTA Modifieds next took the green with Clayton Wagamon and Adam Bohlman on row one. The top drivers remained side by side throughout the opening laps, but a caution quickly slowed the pack.
Bohlman immediately stretched his lead as the green reappeared, with Wagamon in second and Dave Cain in third. Another caution reset the field, but Bohlman remained in command with Wagamon eagerly chasing the No. 25. The top two drivers had a solid lead over the competition; Bohlman grabbed the checkered flag, and his first-ever WISSOTA Modified feature win. Wagamon, Zach Benson, J.T. Johnson and Travis Schulte finished in second through fifth, respectively.
Russell Kiker (Mark Anderson Photo)
Tony Jenson and Russell Kiker, Jr. brought the WISSOTA Hornets around the track for their green and Jenson grabbed the early lead. Kiker remained glued to Jenson throughout the opening laps, and after a battle, Kiker moved out into the top spot.
Laps passed without any issues, and as the checkered flag waved, Kiker took the victory ahead of Tony Jenson, Randy Jacoboski, Brady Fosso and Nathaniel Kinne in the top five.
Jason VandeKamp (Mark Anderson Photo)
The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds closed out the night’s program with a full field of drivers taking the green. A few cautions kept the racers slowed, but back under green-flag conditions VandeKamp took command with Mitch Weiss and Paul Ripley door to door for second.
After a caution reset the field, Weiss pressured VandeKamp for the lead, but VandeKamp retained the advantage. Weiss held second with Ripley and Ryan Putnam in top spots.
Weiss and Ripley kept after VandeKamp lap after lap, however VandeKamp held his line and took the win. Ripley, Weiss, Cole Boston and Dustin Nelson were top-five finishers.
