Brauer and Larson leave WISSOTA rivals behind Friday night at Black Hills Speedway

RAPID CITY, SD (June 6) - Black Hills Speedway kicked off the Month of Money Series championship weekend on Friday night. Brennan Davis had the headlines for the night, winning his first-career main event, while Dean Larson and Kolton Brauer added one-more career win to their totals in WISSOTA action.

Davis earned the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature win after starting from the pole. Paul Parks was second ahead of Rex Conrad, Ron Starkey and Chris Larsen.

Larson, over seven hours from his home in Minnesota, started on the outside front row in the WISSOTA Mod Four feature. He took the lead early and led the remaining laps for his second win of the season in Rapid City. Brett Konst worked his way to second, and was close to Larson at the checkers, but settled for second. Tristan Torres, Gatlin Comer and Kyle Hardesty unofficially rounded out the top five.

Brauer, eight hours from his home in Minnesota, started the WISSOTA Street Stock main event from the inside of the second row. He was into the top spot by the end of the first lap, and slipped away for his first win at the oval this season. Leonard Ferguson finished 2.5 seconds behind in the runner-up position, with Dillon Johnson third, Warren Pourier, Jr. fourth and Cole Phillips fifth.

In other action at the oval, Peyton George earned the IMCA Modified win, Sean Weber topped the Hobby Stocks, and Brayden Mount captured the 360 Sprint feature.
