CRARY, ND (May 3) - Devils Lake Speedway was back open for action after a week off for weather Saturday night, and two new winners were crowned for the 2025 season at the Crary-area race track.

The action on track was exciting as Cole Greseth and Austin Hunter took the WISSOTA Dirt Track Series victories.

The battles were tight all night long in the WISSOTA Street Stock division. Trey Hess of Grand Forks and Cole Greseth battled hard lap after lap in the feature. Greseth came out victorious, while Hess had to settle for second. Brauer, Greg Jose, and Kasey Ussatis rounded out the top five.

The WISSOTA Midwest Mod feature was going great, with lots of side-by-side racing full of slide jobs and good, clean racing. It became plagued with heartbreak, however, at lap 16 of 20 due to mechanical failures and big wrecks in the field. Austin Hunter, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, fought his way to victory lane, with Jory Berg of Grand Forks, ND, hot on his tail to finish second. Jamie Dietzler rounded out the podium in third. Memphis Klassen and Tanner Theis were top-five finishers.

In the Western Renegade Nonwing Sprint Car Series, there were six rookies on hand to join the veteran field. In the feature, it was a back-and- forth battle between Steve Nordrum of Devils Lake and Myles Tomlinson of Turtle Lake, ND. Tomlinson was victorious, while Nordrum was second. Cory Palm completed the podium.

In the Pure Stocks, Tate Bullis of Lakota, ND drove away with his first-ever feature win after a dramatic finish to the feature race that resulted in a big crash on the front straight away. Joe Armstrong was second, with Waylon Poitra third.
