Leiker, Harmon & Konst claim first features of Sheridan Speedway’s 2026 campaign

SHERIDAN, WY (May 3) - Troy Leiker added a third win to his growing 2026 season list over the weekend, as he drove to the victory in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds at Sheridan Speedway Sunday, May 3.

It was the season opener at the Sheridan, WY-area track. Other WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Kholin Harmon in the Street Stocks and Brett Konst in the Mod Fours.

Leiker started in the second row of the Mid Mod feature and took the lead from Austin Long with about six laps to go to grab the win—his third straight of the weekend. Brother Tony made a pass on Long during the final lap to move into second at the finish, while Long held on for third. Eighth-starter Chad Switzenberg was fourth and 10th-starter Justin Elmer was fifth at the finish.

In the WISSOTA Street Stocks Harmon made his way into the top spot with just three laps to go and took home the checkered flag. Chris Uroszek was second, John Garrigan was third, Steve Snyder was fourth and Braxxton Harmon completed the top five.

Konst made his way to the front of the field in the WISSOTA Mod Fours from his sixth starting spot. He took the lead from the start and led all the way to net the victory. Michael Logelin, Tracy Konst, Dean McCalla and Lori Konst rounded out the top five.

In the track’s other action, Rayce McCord topped the IMCA Modifieds, Matt Brown won in the Rocky Mountain Hardtops class, and Robert Donmyer took home the IMCA Sport Compacts.
