Blascyk, Miller, Engebretson, Dykhoff and Pourrier post night one wins during holiday double at Viking Speedway

ALEXANDRIA, MN (May 24) - Viking Speedway hosted the first of a two-day Memorial Day weekend special Saturday night, May 24, with the DRC Street Stock Tour part of the program. Kyle Dykhoff came out on top of the program’s headliner, while Brendan Blascyk, Travis Engebretson, Matt Miller, and Chase Pourrier were also WISSOTA Dirt Track Series victors.

In the WISSOTA Street Stocks, Dykhoff came from outside the second row to take the lead on lap three, and continued to set the pace out front through the remaining 17 laps to garner the victory. Nineteenth-starter Nick Traynor raced his way from the 19th-starting spot to secure runner-up honors ahead of Josh Long. Levi Randt was fourth, while Joe Martin completed the top five.

Blascyk started on the pole and led every lap in the WISSOTA Modified feature Saturday. Josh Thoennes was second, Brady Gerdes finished in third, Jason Thoennes improved four spots to fourth, and Tony Schill rounded out the top five.

It took nearly the full race, but Engebretson got it done in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, picking his way forward from 11th to net the win. Ryan Flaten, Taylor Bitzan, Haley Dykhoff, and Tanner Bitzan were top-five finishers.

Miller topped the WISSOTA Super Stock feature, taking the lead a few laps past the halfway point and extending his advantage by more than 3 seconds in the closing laps to score the win ahead of sixth-starter Brady Gerdes in second. Bailey Rosch, William Lund and Trevor Saurer also finished in the top five.

Pourrier added another victory to his 2025 season stats Saturday in the WISSOTA Hornets. He capitalized on his front-row start to take the win ahead of Kreg Anderson, Matthew Dittman, Brady Albertson and Jeff Rohner in the top five.
