Leiker and Konst keep the pressure on their rivals with Gillette Thunder Speedway wins on Saturday

GILLETTE, WY (May 17) - Gillette Thunder Speedway hosted its second race night of the season on Saturday, and Troy Leiker grabbed his second win at the oval in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds. Brett Konst also had an impressive night with the WISSOTA Mod Four and Hobby Stock victories.

Leiker started on the outside of the second row in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature, and extended his personal win streak to three. Tony Leiker worked from sixth into second, but could not supplant his brother at the front of the field. Matthew Drake, Austin Long and Justin Will rounded out the top five.

Konst led all 15 laps in the WISSOTA Mod Four division. He started on the pole, and had to fend off Dean Larson in the late stages for the victory. Casey Schilling was third with Tristan Torres fourth and Brody Grenz fifth.

Konst started second in the Hobby Stock main event and outran John Garrigan, Jr. for the checkers.

Darran Conrad grabbed the IMCA Modified win from the sixth-starting position.
