Emo racers & fans get a double to open 2026; winners include Pelepetz, Davis, Henry, Strachan, Blevins & Kellar

EMO, ONTARIO (May 15-16) - Emo Speedway opened action for the 2026 season the weekend of May 15-16, with WISSOTA Modifieds, Midwest Mods and Street Stocks in action both nights.

In the Modifieds Friday night, Brandon Pelepetz charged through the field from the fifth row at the start, improving nine spots to grab the checkered flag ahead of Scott McKinnon, Curtis Stieh, Jeff Davis and Mike Wilson in the top five.

Jamie Davis started from the pole in the WISSOTA Midwest Mods, netting his first win of 2026 ahead of Scott Thompson. Kyler Makkinga, James Lambert and Brady Caul completed the top five.

Nathan Henny navigated from the pole to the checkered flag in the WISSOTA Street Stocks Friday night, grabbing the win ahead of Weston Ramsrud, Brenden Makkinga, Andrew Piilo and Tyson Waller in the top five.

On Saturday, new faces appeared in victory lane in all three classes.

Brody Strachan parlayed his pole starting spot into the victory in the Modifieds, pocketing the win ahead of Scott McKinnon, Tyler Brown, Raice Westover and Curtis Stieh in the top five.

In the Midwest Modifieds, American visitor Mikey Blevins powered from seventh to score the win ahead of Strachan, Christopher Leek, James Lambert and Kyler Makkinga in the top five.

AJ Kellar nailed down his first victory of the 2026 season with the win in the Street Stocks. Friday’s winner Nathan Henny was second, Brendan Makkinga was third, Andrew Piilo was fourth, and Kathryn Stieh rounded out the top five.

In the track’s Junior Slingshots class, Jack Trevisanutto was victorious in action both nights during the long weekend of racing.
