Leiker, Puhlman & Torres take down WISSOTA competition Friday night at Black Hills Speedway
RAPID CITY, SD (May 15) - Tony Leiker, Jaren Puhlman and Tristan Torres closed out the second weekend of action at Black Hills Speedway with victories Friday night, May 15, as all three WISSOTA-sanctioned drivers had to work through the field to nail down their wins.
Leiker started eighth on the WISSOTA Midwest Modified grid and assumed the lead by lap four, cruising to a near 2-second victory ahead of his brother Troy Leiker. Scott Tyrrell, Matt Heinzerling and Darin Hauff completed the top five.
In the WISSOTA Mod Fours, Torres started outside row three, navigating to the lead around lap five and then jetting off to a more than 7-second advantage ahead of polesitter Gatlin Comer at the finish. Dean Larson, Dilon Hardesty and Devin Wolter rounded out the top five.

Puhlman started in eighth of the WISSOTA Street Stock feature, picking his way forward to the lead with just four laps to go and hanging on by about .6 seconds to net the victory ahead of Kyle Hanson in second. Troy Murner, Les Cuny and Leonard Ferguson were top-five finishers.
In the track’s other action, Eric Mass was the winner from the pole in the IMCA Modifieds, Mike Pennel won the Sprint feature, and Joel Magee charged from eighth to first in the IMCA Hobby Stocks.
