Heinrich tops short field of Mods at Fiesta City while Fernkes, Bjorklund, Jans and Stabler stand in victory lane after Friday features

MONTEVIDEO, MN (May 9) -Friday night's races at Fiesta City Speedway featured victory lane appearances by veteran drivers in five of the six divisions.

In WISSOTA-sanctioned action, winners included Justin Bjorklund, Nate Heinrich, Jerik Stabler, Mike Jans, and Shawn Fernkes.

Blake Adams was the early leader in the WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature. During lap six, Bjorklund moved by and continued on to win his first feature of the year. Adams was second ahead of Corey Storck, Jason Vejtruba, and Darren Engesser in the top five.

Josh Long took the lead to start the WISSOTA Street Stock feature, but it only took four laps for longtime Street Stock wheelman Mike Jans to get the lead and drive off to his first win of the season. Kolton Brauer followed through into second, Ty Schuler was third, Cody Hatch was fourth, and Dustin Schultz completed the top five.

Shawn Fernkes led the entire WISSOTA Super Stock feature for his first win of the year. Karter Reents, Tommy Bawden, Travis Scott, and Shawn Schabel were top-five finishers.

Nate Heinrich led from the green flag to the checkered flag for his first WISSOTA Modified feature win of the season. Blake Adams slipped to second, Seth Brede was third, and Jacob Knapper was fourth.

In the WISSOTA Hornet feature, Dalton Haag was the early leader. Bradley Rossow became the new leader on lap two, until Jerik Stabler drove past during lap five and held on to get his first win of the year. Rossow, Eli Green, Haag and Paxton Tjaden completed the top five.

Justin Erp took the lead at the start of the Pure Stock feature. Landon Albertson took over the lead on lap five and went on to pick up his second straight win to start the season at Fiesta City Speedway.
