Adams doubles up on Sunday fun while Sabraskik, Pogoes, Holtquist and Fosso also grab Granite City wins
SAUK RAPIDS, MN (May 10) - Blake Adams’ double-victory effort highlighted action Sunday at Granite City Motor Park, as the young wheelman grabbed the win in the WISSOTA Modifieds and Midwest Modifieds, respectively.
Other WISSOTA Dirt Track Series winners included Shane Sabraski, Tommy Pogones, Dustin Holtquist and Brady Fosso.
In the Modified feature Adams started from the front row, led from start to finish, and took the victory ahead of Zach Benson, Kennedy Swan, Joseph Thomas and Shane Sabraski in the top five.
Adams repeated the effort in the Midwest Mods, netting that win ahead of Devin Fouquette, Landyn Randt, Chance Kodet and Jake Hagemann in the top five after his flag-to-flag performance.
Pogones led from green to checkered in the Street Stocks Sunday. He was chased to the finish line by Jim Gullikson, Levi Randt, Braedyn Fleck, and Layla Chaplin in the top five.
In the Mod Fours Holtquist made the winning pass past Ashton Schwinn with just about two laps to go, using the outside lane to drive by and into victory lane. Schwinn had to settle for second ahead of Robert Holtquist, Chad Erlandson, and Dean Larson in the top five.
Sabraski had his hands full with fellow front-row starter Dylan Nelson for a good chunk of the Super Stock race, but Nelson’s night came to an end with just a few laps left thanks to a shredded tire. Sabraski drove on to the win, with Jordan Henkemeyer second. Dexton Koch, Dylan Kromschroeder and Tommy Bawden completed the top five.
In the Hornets Fosso parlayed his pole starting spot into a victory. William Lange, Tyson Roush, Eli Green and Chase Golliet completed the top five.
Wayne Nelson was victorious in the track’s Crown Vic feature to round out action at the Sauk Rapids race track.
