By Meghan Diemel, Editor

MONTEVIDEO, MN - Coltyn Schuler is this season’s co-Rookie of the Year in the WISSOTA Street Stocks. The 29-year-old overcame a rollover early on in the 2025 season and went on to gather up three victories throughout the remainder of the summer, as well as 19 top-fives en route to the ROY honors.

With support from his significant other Lexi Wollschlager, his child Ayson Schuler, parents Randy and Lori and brothers Ty and Chase, Schuler plans to possibly race for a track championship in 2026.

When he’s not at the race track, Schulder is a flooring installer at Friendship Homes.

All The Dirt! Racing News: Break down the reality of a racing season for you. What is your advice regarding how much time and effort goes into a successful season like you’ve had, for drivers around your age just getting their start in dirt track racing? (How much time you spend in the shop, how many people help you out in the shop on a weekly basis, that kind of thing.)

Coltyn Schuler: Stay level headed by having a good support system. [I spend] two to three hours a night in the shop every day, and two people help out in the shop.

ATD: What can be the hardest or most trying part of racing season for you, and why?

Schuler: Competing against racers [who] have been in the same class for longer years; they know what they’re doing and what works for their car.

ATD: What is your favorite event of the year and why?

Schuler: [The] WISSOTA 100; [I] get to spend time with friends and family and the racing community.

ATD: Is there a race or race track you have never raced in/at, and why do you want to race there?

Schuler: There is more than one because now we are a WISSOTA-sanctioned class, so we can race more than our three local tracks.

ATD: What will be your favorite part of the offseason, as we head toward late 2025 and early 2026, for you?

Schuler: [I] get to go ice fishing, hunting, and spend more time with family.

ATD: What are your racing plans for 2026?

Schuler: Up in the air; possibly chase a track championship or so.

ATD: Who are your sponsors you’d like to thank?

Schuler: Cody, Ranita Schmitt and boys; Appleton Area Health; Whiskey Pete’s; Zach Moe; Schuler Trucking, David Schuler; Steve Lauer; Archer Lubricants; Luepke’s Landworx LLC, Kolton Luepke; Zeulis Race Engines & Machine Shop, Frank Zeuli; South West Collison and Glass; Steve Birkey; Friendship Homes; Schuler Cattle Co.; Factory 43 Motorsports
