EYOTA, MN - One year removed from his brother racing to the WISSOTA Street Stock National Championship in 2024, Kolton Brauer made his ultimate 2025 goal come true through continued hard work and lots of grit.
The No. 34 made it into victory lane 32 times this past season, with 65 top-five finishes and 71 top-10s in 78 appearances on his way to the 2025 WISSOTA Street Stock National Championship.
“This year was nothing more than a dream season of mine,” said Brauer while on stage at the national awards banquet. “After my father passed away in December of last year, my team and I were set on a plan, and that was to win the national championship, and we did just that.”
As Brauer reflected, the late nights and hard work that was put into his season all summer long paid off, mentioning that his Wednesday through Sunday race week left little time to get the race car completed again before the next long five-day weekend of racing began again.
“To go from wrecking two different cars in the same year just five years ago, to winning a national championship, makes me speechless. It's been a dream of mine to win a national title ever since I was a little kid...”
Brauer added that going back to back with the national championship with his brother Braden was also something he’d wanted to do for his entire racing life as well.
Brauer and his team traveled to four states and one province, the most he’s traveled in his six-year career, winning at 16 different tracks, which tied his brother’s accomplishment from last year.
“Next year, all I can say is, I’m not done with Street Stocks quite yet, but more will come in the offseason, including a throwback wrap of my dad’s car,” he said.
Brauer concluded his national banquet speech by thanking his dad, his mom, Braden, his girlfriend Gracie, his crew, sponsors and other family and friends.
