Final winners of 2025 at Brown County Speedway are Becker, Stearns, Schipke and Weight

ABERDEEN, SD (September 27) - The final night of Winter Nationals was on tap for Saturday, September 27, with a great turnout of 104 cars on hand among five different WISSOTA Dirt Track Series classes.

Trey Hess, Brennon Weight, Mike Stearns, Stewart Schipke and Chad Becker were the final winners of the 2025 season in their respective WISSOTA classes.

The WISSOTA Street Stocks were first on the program, with 21 drivers on hand. A pair of North Dakota drivers — Kasey Ussatis and Trey Hess — led the field to green, with Hess leading at a quick pace. Hess began to navigate lapped traffic by lap four, while Ussatis battled Jayden Bogh for second. A caution flew two laps later; following the restart, Cole Greseth and Jonny Carter moved into second and third respectively, as they chased Hess. Greseth battled Hess for the lead before caution struck again on lap 10.

Following the next restart, the top three broke away from the field. With only three laps left the leaders caught lapped traffic, which allowed Greseth to close in and he made a move to get by Hess. Hess was too good, however, and scored his first-ever win at Brown County Speedway. Greseth, Jonny Carter, Kasey Ussatis and Bogh were top-five finishers.

WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds rolled out next with 28 drivers on hand and 24 making the final feature. Brennon Weight and Todd Stark brought the field to green, with Weight grabbing the lead. The field searched the racing surface, with only a few drivers racing along the top lane. Caution struck on lap five, and after the restart Weight pulled away while Blake Adams, Jaren Wibstad and Stark all battled for second through fourth. Adams began running down Weight when the caution struck again with three to go.

On the restart Adams had a run a few times at Weight, but the bottom was just too dominant and Weight scored his first win at BCS in 2025. Adams, Stark, Kyle Anderson and Lucas Rodin rounded out the top five.

Mike Stearns (Cody Papke Photo)

The WISSOTA Modifieds were up next, with 14 drivers on hand. Chaun Peterson and Blake Adams led the field to green, with national championship contender Adams grabbing the lead early. Caution struck early on lap five.

Back under green, Adams used the top side until he pushed in turn one and broke something, which gave the lead to Peterson. Peterson led for three laps until Mike Stearns found his way around for the lead.

Stearns set it on cruise control from there and checked out on the field. He went on to win his fifth feature at BCS, ahead of Cayden Schmeling, Kent Arment, Peterson and Adam Brotherton in the top five.

Stewart Schipke (Cody Papke Photo)

The WISSOTA Super Stocks had a 16-car field on hand for their final feature of 2025 at BCS. Stewart Schipke and Derek Zastrow brought the field to green, with Schipke leading early. The first caution struck on lap three and following the restart Mark Abeln began to battle Schipke for the lead. Farther back Trevor Nelson worked his way into third. Nelson then moved in to work by Abeln for second, until contact was made and sent them both spinning. The call went against Nelson while Abeln had to change a tire.

During the remaining 12 laps, the track was dominant along the bottom lane, which allowed Schipke to just slowly pull away. Schipke won by more than a straightaway to score his second win at BCS this year, while Austin Arbogast, Dom Menzia, Jeremy North and Kyle Elsen were the rest of the top five.

Chad Becker (Cody Papke Photo)

The final feature was for the WISSOTA Late Models, with 25 drivers on hand. Chad Becker and Ryan Mikkelson led the field to green, with Becker grabbing the lead. The field all fought for real estate on the bottom lane, and Becker was in lapped traffic by lap four. Caution then struck on lap eight.

Back under green, Mike Stearns give chase to Becker but was not able to close in. The leaders caught lapped traffic during lap 15 once again, and Becker moved by traffic easily. Caution struck again on lap 20.

On what was the final restart, Becker checked out as the track was very bottom dominant. Becker ran away to score his fifth win at BCS in 2025. Konnor Sperle, Jayson Good, Stearns and Kent Arment rounded out the top five in an uneventful finale.
